Parallel Lines (song)

This silly math song teaches some basics about parallel lines.

Song begins with the definition of parallel lines. It then goes on to teach the relationships between angles formed when parallel lines are intersected by a transversal. (Includes alternate exterior angles, alternate interior angles, corresponding angles.) Song then moves on to some basic analytic geometry (geometry on a coordinate plane) and explains that parallel lines have the same slope. Examples of equations of parallel lines are included. The song is sung to the tune of "Sweet Child O' Mine" by Guns 'n' Roses. The concepts in this song are generally taught in geometry, as well as beginning algebra (Algebra 1).
